The Town of Maine is serviced by the Nichols Rural Fire Department and the Shiocton-Bovina Fire Department for fire protection.

Controlled Burn Procedure

Residents are advised to notify the Fire Department before attempting a controlled burn. If you have not followed this procedure and someone calls your fire in to the Fire Department, you will be charged with a fire run.
